What is Visual Communication?

• Visual communication is communication through visual aid and is described as the conveyance of ideas and information in forms that can be read or looked upon. Visual communication in part or whole relies on vision, and is primarily presented or expressed with two dimensional images, it includes: signs, typography, drawing, graphic design, illustration, Industrial Design, Advertising, Animation colour and electronic resources. It also explores the idea that a visual message accompanying text has a greater power to inform, educate, or persuade a person or audience.

• ICON

Describe the picture :

The picture shows somebody drove a car into pothole.

The meaning :

Report a pothole on the road / To warn the driver there's a pothole on the road.

Describe the picture :

The picture shows a cigarette and no entry sign.

The meaning :

No Smoking / They use red color because red color looks more attractive and dangerous so that people can stop smoking.

Describe the picture :
The picture shows the rotation of the green arrow.

The meaning :
Recycle / It is the sign of recycle / The green color represents the color of nature.

The picture shows the glass is crack.

The meaning :
Fragile / This symbol is used to convey that the product inside the box is fragile, which can be damaged / It needs to be handled with care.

Toilet / So that they know where their toilet in.

The meaning :

Caution Wet Floor / This signs inform everyone that the area where they are walking may be slippery when wet / These floor signs are tough and can withstand extreme conditions.

FINAL PROJECT (BASIC GRAPHIC DESIGN)

CURRENT ISSUE  : SMOKING

This picture represents "DISADVANTAGE OF SMOKING". The image of this picture describe that WHY and WHAT will happen if people around the world smoking. The gray colour represent the ash of the smoke burn on fire that YOU smoke. And the symbol like Smoke, Gas, People, Tree, House, Planet and LIFE represent about WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF WE SMOKE.  So, STOP SMOKING. Our PLANET will DESTROY because of that.
