        *  PRACTICAL TRAINING INFO

First of all I would like to say thank you to News Graphic TV3 by giving me an opportunity to complete my Industrial Training here. It is a pleasure to me working with helpful, supportive and understanding team. In this 3 months practical period I had learnt more new things and gained experience. They give me a lot of knowledge. They teach me if I'm wrong. I appreciate it much. Once again, thank you to all of them. And not forget to thank you to my lecturers and family who always support me.

Some companies they just focus on design for designer. But in this company, I'm not only learned as a designer but I learned something new that is not in the field of designer. For example, I check the line up for the news, copy/paste and save the logo or image or text for the news, involved in politics, go to STUDIO A to see the design okay or not, and using the "Quantel". 

        *  PRACTICAL REPORT

18 August 2014

• First day of working.
• "Langkah kanan" TV3 did some event for the company.
• See around and introduce myself.

19 August 2014

• "Langkah kanan" again Media Prima did some event of Hari Raya for all company at Sri Pentas.
• See the environment and meet the bosses and peoples.
• See and try new things like Quantel.

20th August 2014

• Know the tv size - Standard (720 x 576).
• Password and username of the computer to open the Access News.
• Know the short form words like DVE - Do the animation, PIN - Phone in.
• If we want to type the words go to Scribe.

22nd August 2014

• Do the size of image go to Effects.
• Wants to find the pictures or files go to layout and clips.
• If we finish the work, save and must put the title and date.
• Sent to TV3 Ingest - If they want to edit.

23rd August 2014

                                                                  QUANTEL

• If we want to do the template or edit, go to Scribe.
• To small the template, go to Desk.
• Go Effect for editing.
• Go to layout for search or find the template or pictures.
• If you want to delete the layer, go to delete and go to the layer that we want to delete.

25th August 2014

• If you want a new layer, go to layer number one and bring it up.
• To save the template, go to the Save Frame.
• All the animation we use is DVE.
• If we want to do the Key, use Paint - Masking/Stencil.

29 August 2014

• If we want to make Cube, go to clips and search the folder and drag to the layer and save it. (Drag it out)
• Go to I/O and go to the clips and search the folder then drag it inside the box.
• After all of that, Export it.

30th August 2014

• Do the BAJET 2015 Logo.
• Colour font must be good and rational.
• Tal (blue,turquoise), Gold or Mustard and Gray (dark).
• 1 week must do that and sent to the boss.

2nd September 2014

• If we want to transfer the pictures, go to clips search the things that we want and drag it outside and go to more and go to GFX then done.
• Transfer to another computer, go to Graphic and search the pictures and drag it at another folder.
• To see the timeline, go to i-news, fill the Username and Password and go to Directory and go to News and Lineup and find what time of the news and copy it to the notes and save it to pendrive.

• Shortform for the news NL - Nightline.
• BU8 - Buletin Utama
• News - Terkini
• 1:30 - News
• Biz - Business News
• Slug means the title of the Story.

9 September 2014

• Put the paper inside the scanner and scan it.
• Press the first button and wait.
• Crop the image we want to and scan it and import then save it inside pendrive or any folder that we want.

15 September 2014

• Do the slide in Quantel just like do in AE - Adobe After Effect but the diffrent is we do it using pen and it is so easy than AE.
• Edit the picture and put inside after edit sent it to I/O and sent it to GFX.
• Wipe the blur image go to color and go to Gamma or Bright.

20th September 2014

• Find the picture and go to paint and go to draw then just highlight the face, if the picture still not nice go to REV to edit again and go to DVE to scale the size and go to Style and Shadow to make it nice, then save it and drag it outside and rename it.
• We have to save it and sent it to another computer, go to I/O.

25th September 2014

• Find a new idea to create design for redesign the pictures, layout, background and templates.

1st October 2014

                                                                     STUDIO A

• Making design on air like "live news".
• Waiting for the producer to give us instructions.

7 October 2014

• Do the same thing but differents story.
• Everyday have a new story.

18 October 2014

• Today was my last day of practical. I'm so happy because I can gained experience at TV3. But at the same time I feel sad because I'm gonna miss my seniors who teach me, give me an idea, lunch break together and everything. I miss that moment. Thank you to all of you. I appericiate it much.
